Blood Donation!

13 January, 2013

Having taken a weekend off blogging I realised it was time to post again! However it's a delayed post as today I went to Ealing to donate blood.

This was my 4th donation, some of you may remember my Give Blood blog post from May last year. I had a bit of a light headed moment after the donation, which resulted in a note being added to my file for next time, but it was just a dizzy spell and I continue to maintain my record of never fainting in my life!

I'm mainly posting this because the blood donation service currently has a campaign underway to receuit 100k new donors in the next 100 days. Current donors often have to stop giving blood due to changes in their health, and at times it can be a struggle to keep up the numbers of new donors up.

If you are healthy and aren't too dodgy with needles (preferably less dodgy than I am) then you should really look in to donating blood. You get free biscuits and a drink afterwards, and you might save someone's life!

You also get an excuse to wear a sticker and wander around with a big plaster on your arm :D

Happy New Year

01 January, 2013

Welcome to 2013! I hope everyone had a nice New Years Eve. I celebrated in normal style, ate pizza, drank tea and watched the fireworks on BBC1. I know I live in London and could go to see the fireworks live but you have to get there very early and I would just end up freezing cold and tired and wanting to go home early.

So normally people have resolutions, this year I've got targets for my Etsy shops, and some things that I've wanted to do for a while that I WILL get sorted out this year.

The Bibliophile targets;
- Maintain a constant of 50 listings.
- Sort out a Facebook page.
- Reach 20 sales (I'm at 13 at the moment).

Creative Classics targets;
- Have 100 listings.
- Sort out a Facebook page.
- Get one sale a month (or at the very least average one a month XD)

Things To Do;
- Blog regularly!
- Visit Westminster Abbey, Highgate Cemetery, St Pauls Cathedral, Canterbury (er...including their cathedral...there's going to be a lot of cathedrals this year), and a few museums around London.
- Go back to Holland!
- Stay on top of chores during the week so I have weekends free.
- Start saving for a deposit for a house.
- Try one new recipe a month.

Hopefully I'll get at least some of these done. Like I said they're less resolutions and more things that I want to do but keep forgetting or delaying for various reasons. Hopefully some of my trips out will lead to more photos and more blog posts :)

Happy 2013 everyone!
