Chocolate

11 April, 2013

This week has been very busy at work, every evening I've come home with aching feet and an empty stomach.

Typically the first thing I'm putting in my stomach while my dinner is cooking, is a little bit of chocolate. I've been very good about carefully rationing my Easter eggs this year, but I still bought a new Malteser Teaser bar to try (it was incredibly yummy, if you see these in the shops then buy one to try yourselves!) so I've nibbled on a piece of that once food is in the oven.

So of course I've browsed on Etsy to see what chocolate can be found on there.

Salted Caramel Lollipops by ZukrBoutique

These lollipops look soooo tasty. I think I'd end up eating too many in one go and spend the rest of the day feeling sick. They've also got flavoured marshmellow, strawberry champagne lollipops and biscuits with pictures that make your mouth water. Best not to browse if you're already hungry.

Have a nice evening everyone!

Find The Eggs

25 March, 2013

Those of you in the UK might want to check out this nifty little game;

Tesco: Find The Eggs

Basically you click on the link above, type in a location that you want to start at, and then zoom around on Google Streetview until an egg pops up on the screen, click it and it'll be added to your tally. If you get three eggs then you get a prize! Once you've put in your name and email address to get your prize you then select a spot on the map to drop some eggs for someone else to find.

The prize is pretty simple, it's just a chocolate Malteser bunny, but it's still a fun little game to play and free chocolate is always worthwhile.

You can only play it once though, so don't play repeatedly to get more chocolate as it's against the T&C's, and also mean for other people that might want to play.

Have a nice evening hunting chocolate!

Hotel Chocolat

23 February, 2013

For once, not a post reviewing an Etsy purchase, but a normal shop purchase! I'm a member of a cashback site called Quidco, which gives you a few pennies back when you go through them to get to various websites. They also often feature codes for money off or free postage, and since I haven't been able to get to Kingston recently I decided to use a free post code from them for Hotel Chocolat.

The chocolate is expensive, but seriously delicious. Since I had free postage I decieded to take advantage and try some different chocolates, as well as my usual, especially since I'm sure I hadn't seen them in my usual shop.

Billionaire Shortbread from Hotel Chocolat

These were one of the ones I decided to try, yummy biscuit on top and caramel praline inside, and ribbons of caramel chocolate mixed in with the milk chocolate shell. I'm not a big fan of caramel, but these were quite nice, the chocolate shell was nice and thick, and I liked the biscuit on top.

Praline Melt by Hotel Chocolat

These are my favourites! If you like praline, or even just hazelnuts, then you really need to try these! They've got bits of crunchy chocolate in, as well as finely ground hazelnuts, and you can never have just one!

I should also say that I had a small delivery issue (couriers can be a pain in the neck), but one email and Hotel Chocolat's customer service team had it all sorted out for me!

Have a nice evening everyone!

Tasty Treats

02 May, 2011

I wasn't planning on making another blog post so soon.

Today I was planning on baking some fairy cakes to take to work in my packed lunch this week.

But then I realised I don't have any margerine. And the only shop that's open today doesn't sell margerine :(

So instead have some pictures of tasty things on Etsy! And help me mourn my lack of cake.
